Terms of Use
Oversong is a product name of, and is operated by, Elowin Labs LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading or using the Oversong app or this website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Oversong lets you speak or type what you are going through, finds passages of the Bible that speak to it, and with Pro writes a prayer for you and can read it aloud. Passages are chosen, and prayers written, in part by automated systems, including artificial-intelligence models, and can be imperfect or not what you expected. Scripture is always quoted from the King James Version (public domain) stored in the app. Oversong is a devotional companion: it is not a church, a pastor or a counselor, and it does not give medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional advice.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or older where your law requires). There are no accounts; your subscription belongs to your Apple account.
3. Subscriptions, trial and billing
Oversong Pro is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple's App Store. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before a free trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription and your Apple account is charged the price shown at purchase (for example, 7 days free, then $69.99 per year). The prices, periods and any trial shown in the app when you buy govern. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. If a renewal payment fails, Apple's retry and grace-period rules apply and access may end.
4. Fair use
Pro covers generous personal use. To keep the Service sustainable, unusually heavy or automated use may pause AI features for the rest of the day; prayers are then composed on your device and every free feature keeps working.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Cancel any time in your Apple account settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; paid periods are not prorated. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; when a refund is granted, Pro access ends.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, infringe others' rights, probe or disrupt our systems, resell or scrape the Service, or try to extract our prompts or systems. What you share and what you do with the passages and prayers returned are your responsibility.
7. Your content
You keep all rights to what you share. You give us the limited license needed to run the Service: processing it on your device and, with AI on, sending it as text to our AI providers solely to find passages and write your prayer, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell it or use it to train AI models. Kept passages and prayers stay on your device.
8. Our intellectual property
The Oversong name, app, design and content other than yours belong to Elowin Labs LLC or its licensors. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices as the App Store terms allow.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on Apple and the infrastructure and AI providers named in the Privacy Policy. Their availability is outside our control; features that rely on them may change or be temporarily unavailable, and the app falls back to on-device search and prayers when they are.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out to people now: in the United States, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or 911 in an emergency.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Elowin Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of data, arising from the Service. Our total liability for all claims is limited to what you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend access for breach of these Terms; refunds, if any, are handled by Apple.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. The date above shows the latest change, and material changes will be noted in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts in Palm Beach County, Florida. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections the mandatory laws where you live give you.
